Attaching and Sharing Files with Student Feedback
In addition to providing rich feedback text within your rubric for students, Waypoint also allows you to upload and attach various downloadable files. These files range from documents to audio to video formats. Sharing these materials, in addition to the rubric feedback text, allows you to offer additional resources and support to observations.
Attaching Files
To attach files to your assessment, navigate to the "Summarize Feedback" section of the rubric and click on the "Attach file" link:
Next, click on the "Browse..." button to locate the file from your computer:
There is a limitation to the number of files you are able to attach to the assessment. These limits, 5 files at 5 MB each, are listed below the "Browse..." button. The list of supported file formats is also found here. Currently, Waypoint supports gif, jpeg, png, bmp, pdf, txt, doc(x), ppt(x), xls(x), mp4, mp3, m4v, avi and mov.
After locating a file and adding it, the title of the file (along with the format extension and size), a link to download the file and a link to remove the file is displayed beneath the "Browse..." button:
Returning Attached Items
After you have completed assessing a student and finalized the evaluation, returning the feedback will provide students with links to click on and download any attached items.
