Sharing Rubrics
In Waypoint, you have the option of sharing rubrics you've created with other assessors. This is beneficial if you use a standardized set of rubrics for assessment. Your account must have the user role task Design Assessments or else you will not be able to share rubrics. If you were able to create a rubric, then your account already has the Design Assessments user task. Otherwise you will need to contact your institution's Waypoint 2 administrator and request it be added to your account.
Individual rubrics that were created or are owned by you can be shared across the institution by placing the rubric in the Shared Folder. This folder allows all users within the institution to view, use and duplicate the rubric you’ve shared.
To add Rubrics to the Shared Folder:
- Log into Waypoint
- Click on the Design tab.
- From the Rubrics page, locate and select the folder that contains the rubric.
- Hover over the Actions button to the right of the rubric name and select the box next to Share.
- Confirm by clicking Share when you are finished.
You may also share folders created or owned by you to other users at your institution. Please note that sharing a folder allows access to any and all rubrics found within.
To share folders:
- Log into Waypoint.
- Click on the Design tab.
- From the Rubrics page, locate the folder in which you wish to share.
- Hover over the Actions button to the right of the folder name and select Share.
- Add as many users as you like by clicking on the arrow button under the Select column. The arrow will turn green and their name will be moved to the right side.
- Select the appropriate role from the drop down menu below the users name
- A Viewer has full Read-Access to a folder
- An Editor has full Read/Write Access to a folder
- An Owner has full Read/Write Access to a folder., with the ability to manage (Add, Remove, Change Access-type, Share Rubrics) people in a folder
- To remove someone from the list, click on the X next to their name.
- Click on the Update Members button when you are finished.
Now when the user logs into Waypoint, they will see the rubric folder on their Rubrics page and have access to all of the rubrics within.
